The Ultimate Thought
Some of you might find this subject boring, some of you shallow, and some of you interesting.
Not so many people are actually conscious of what makes us good or bad. It is difficult to determine one theory in this subject. But all of us have to agree, that what makes us feel like we are good people are other people, like wife, kids, friends, family. By giving others we building this conviction that we are pure in heart and whatever we did previously deep inside we are good. Well combining the point of view of most of the world religions this seems to be right. Helping and cooperating with other people is the key of humanity.
But I want to bring different subject here, subject closely related to terms like happiness, marriage, love and success. When I was teenager going through the motions of rebel stage (and let’s be honest, every person went thought that stage), I was ‘hungry’ for answers which every intelligent person is asking, what is the purpose of my existence, the phrase “to be, or not to be” (William Shakespeare’s Hamlet). To translate this to ordinary language, like question asked by teacher one kid in recent TV show ‘World’s Strictest Parents” – Why bother?
Well I am still learning that answer every day, but I learned main direction in University. Surprisingly in something which seems completely not ‘my style’ at that time and what I would describe as deadly boring. It was philosophy program during my second year in WSB.
In the noise of inspirational information which our heads were bombardment there (which from perspective was one of the best ways of engaging students), maybe I didn’t learned all the dates when each philosopher was born, but I got brief idea of their way of finding answers.
And what is the answer to this Ultimate Question? There is no such. It is different to each of us, depending of our personal needs, ambitions, status, desires, consciousness, religiosity and many more. But let me combine and unity those points. But most of us can agree that what we want can be described by such terms like: money, power, health, happiness and love.
Yes such trivial word, but it covers most of our desires. Love…
But find me one person who can explain it what it is, and people will make him/her covered in gold. To simplify, I have adopted the words of Plato in this subject. This is the theory, which I personally like the most and I agree in 99%. You all might be aware, term of modern ‘Platonic love‘ has it’s origins in Plato’s ‘Phaedrus and Symposium’ and it’s doesn’t mean exactly what we think. It has much deeper meaning then non-sexual friendship with which Plato theory is currently misunderstood.
Without going into intense philosophical details, and simplifying as much as possible He presented 3 stages love theory.
Stage one (beautiful body), which He described as physical attraction. In modern world we could reflect this in situation like when men is seeing attractive women, and opposite, and this is what brings them towards each others.
Second stage (beautiful soul) is the when two people start to know each other inside out, and they still finding their partner as beautiful personality/character as they seen them physically.

Last episode (eternity) is purely on spiritual level. It can be located mainly after our existence in human body. It is when two spirits are coming back from the journey in their physical shape, which was meant to allow they to find themselves, and joining original ’sculpture’, joining ‘the source’ they originally came from, re-uniting. In wider perspective some were saying it is desire of every man’s soul, that is the purpose of the life. Life as we know is only the shadow of our original form, still existing only in spiritual world. Because it is beyond our imagination, time or physical matter means nothing in that world it is what we would call eternal love.
When religious aspects it will the stage when we unite our souls with God, our own personal heaven.
But how does it reflect in our every day life? Just give your best, be passionate about what you do, about people you care and one day you will wake up with this wonderful feeling …
